About Bug Tussle
Bug Tussle Trek has been a late summer North Texas driving event for the past 56 years! It started as an endurance trek in August, or one last day trip before school starts. It has evolved to a cooler weekend in September!
If you have an “antique” vehicle 25 years or older, get it out of the garage and join like-minded folks on a day tour driving the back farm-to-market roads of North Texas. AACA membership is not required.
The Trek starts in downtown Farmersville, lining up around the square. Departure is at 9 am sharp, so don’t be late.
We have many stops along our route, including Bug Tussle, Texas, for the annual cheerleading event! Remember, Bug Tussle isn’t a race, it’s an experience. Speed is paced by the slowest vehicle attending. We do not want to leave anyone behind.
After a lunch stop, we’ll head to Paris, Texas (optional), where we’ll celebrate at a dinner banquet (optional). Overnighting in Paris has been long-honored tradition, especially visiting the hospitality suite! This is a fun, laid back tour, admiring the countryside and other folks cool cars!
Anyone with an ‘antique’ car (or not), is welcome to participate. Cars less than 25 years old are required to drive behind the older cars. Registration and Trek details will be coming soon.
